Saved & Fly

JG. Your company ChristianHangSuite.com is quite an amazing movement. From 'First Sundays' artist showcases to an Internet radio station, online soap opera, and much more, the site is catching on like wildfire across the world. What inspires you to create these fresh, new ideas and approaches to your business?

Kevin: question1

JG. answer1

Kevin: Yes. Back in 2001, I started a website called "VIBEDC.com", which provided information on events and parties happening in Washington, DC. The site actually became very popular around the east coast. However, when I got saved in the summer of 2004, I realized that I could no longer promote secular events/parties and still have a strong relationship with GOD. I turned the company over to my partner and basically started all over. I was so excited to begin this new Christian walk and was anxious to find out where all the Christian events were taking place. I was surprised to discover that there was no website that would give me access to finding out where these events were happening. One day as I sat in my apartment, "ChristianHangSuite.com" flashed in my mind. I knew that it was definitely a sign from GOD. I basically took the same concept from my first website and turned it into a website that would glorify HIS name. That's how it all got started.

JG. ChristianHangSuite.com has a lot going on. What else do you have on your plate?

Kevin: Aside from the daily operations of CHS, I am a School Psychologist. My job is to evaluate students (grades K-12) and determine whether or not they have any Learning Disabilities or qualify for Special Education. It can be a very demanding career at times, but I love kids, so it makes it easy.

JG. How do you find time for it all?

Kevin: I tell myself that this is something that "has to be done". I really don't give myself any options. I guess that's just how GOD wired me. I've never been one to just focus on the 9 to 5 job and that's it. I want to be successful at whatever it is that I put my mind to. In order to do that, it takes a lot of hard work and commitment. Plus, I enjoy everything that I'm into so much. When you love what you do, it's true motivation.

JG. How long have you been saved?

Kevin: I've been saved for three years now. Of course I was always in the church, but I never actually attempted to establish a more intimate relationship with GOD until the summer of 2004.

JG. Ok...I wanted to steer clear of personal questions, but...

Kevin: Uh-oh. (laughter)

JG. I already know that once this is posted, I'm going to get messages from the ladies. You're a young, educated, atttractive, ambitious, entrepreuneur, and a man of God who likes and works with kids. Are you on or off "the market"?

Kevin: Right now I'm single. Outside of my relationship with God the Father, I'm focused primarily on work and building my company to its highest potential. This makes nurturing a relationship somewhat difficult at this time. I'm not saying that I don't want a meaningful relationship because I do. I'm sure God will grant that to me when the time is right.

JG. What type of woman is Kevin Parker material?

Kevin: Wow! This isn't a cut and dry answer, but in a nutshell, she obviously has to be saved. Also, secure within herself and having her own her own goals and plans. A woman who can be supportive of what I do, but not be so consumed in me that she loses herself. Having a beautiful woman by my side that loves the Lord, loves me, and has a strong sense of self, is my ultimate dream.

JG. That's good stuff Kevin! Very well said. Let's see...do I have anymore questions for you? Ah! Do you have any words of wisdom or advice for aspiring Christian entrepreneurs?

Kevin: I really think the biggest misconception about running a Christian business is that most people believe that it's ministry only. Not true. Although you must put GOD first in everything that you do with your business, you must also continue to run your organization as a business or it will not succeed. Managing finances, keeping good records, and establishing relationships with clients are just a few keys to running a Christian business successfully.

JG. Being a new Christian business owner myself, I completely respect your movement. I look up to you and other Christians like you who have stood their ground for Jesus and have catered businesses around not compromising for the world.

Kevin: Thanks a lot.

JG. Thank you for registering with JesusGroupie.com and thanks for being so gracious to allow us this insightful interview.

Kevin: It was my pleasure.
